Changing Weather Skin Care Solutions

                                                                        Hey Earth’s Enrichers

With winter slowly closing in on us and temperatures rapidly dropping people everywhere are searching for natural remedies to relieve dry skin. Lower temperatures often bringing lower humidity and harsh winds can cause drying in skin.  During cooler months people might be inclined to take long hot showers which can strip your skin of moisture causing additional dryness. Colder temperatures can also cause flare ups in many people with pre-existing skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis. Winter weather also exposes our skin to rapid temperature changes as we go from walking outside in the freezing cold to being exposed to central heating in buildings. This rapid change can cause the veins in the face and body to contract and expand quickly which can lead to redness. Colder weather can easily and rapidly cause damage to the skin but fear not, we at Earth’s Enrichments are here to provide you with solutions.

  • Maintain Moisturization –  Within 5 or 10 minutes of showering or bathing, be sure to incorporate a moisturizing agent into your skin care routine, to replenish the skin after a long day in harsh wintery winds or prepare it for what lies ahead.
  • Keep Cool – Although it’s natural to want to crank up the heat after being in colder temperatures, try to keep the thermostat between 68 and 72 degrees in order to maintain healthy skin and prevent dryness.
  • Say No to Overly Hot Baths and Steamy Showers – Try to shower and bathe in lukewarm water rather than hot water in order to protect and not further dry out your skin
  • Opt for Organic – Regular non-organic products can have fragrances and ingredients that can worsen winter itch and dry skin.  Cut the chemicals and look for organic, USDA certified alternatives like those found below!

The EE 411: Products to help you defend yourself from dryness!

  1. Earth’s Enrichments’ Bar Soaps
Coconut oil along with preventing dry skin has also been heralded to be a remedy for other skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and dermatitis.  In addition, coconut oil can help prevent rashes and is oftentimes used as an anti-inflammatory. For centuries, Aloe Vera has been used as a natural remedy for dry skin. Both Aloe Vera oil and gel are known for their hydrating properties and, all of Earth’s Enrichments bar soaps are made with a coconut oil and aloe vera base in order to keep our customers’ skin healthy and moisturized.
  1. Earth’s Enrichments’ Sugar Scrubs
Exfoliation is an important part of your skin care routine and should be practiced year-round, but is especially important during the colder months of the year. Exfoliating helps to remove the dead skin, and Earth’s Enrichment’s sugar scrubs have moisturizing properties that penetrate and hydrate the skin while removing the dead skin cells preventing moisturization.

Hair Growth: Tips & Alternatives—No Tricks!

Hey Earth’s Enrichers

Healthy Hair Growth

Hair Growth Oil

As we all know, hair can be a thought on everybody’s mind. Last week we talked about getting your scalp comfortable by reducing the itchiness/inflammation in your favorite hair-dos, but how do we make your hair grow?

We know that short hair styles are all the rage, but there are some of us who want to grow thick and long hair. Since hair growth can’t be forced, we often look for tricks and tips to help it grow. Although we here at EE can’t give you tricks to help it grow, we can give you tips and healthy ways to take care of your hair and foster growth.

As we did our research, we found a variety of means and ways to make hair longer but what about healthy? Health is important to helping hair maintain itself and, in some aspects, making it grow. For certain, if it is constantly damaged with too much heat, over washing, and chemicals, then it may never realize its full potential. Also, hair type is all about genetics (determines thickness, length, color, and texture) and the way you maintain (for instance: washing it, using supplements, or using natural oils). The best way to get hair to grow and to find out how long it’s capable of growing is to keep it healthy.

We would like to provide you with five tips to help you realize your hair’s true potential:
1. Do your research! As you are looking up your tricks and tips, make sure that you are picking routines that will maintain your hair’s health as much as it says it will make your hair grow. Also, take a moment and research each ingredient to find out if it is truly helpful with hair growth and hair health.
2. Consult a professional and/or make sure sources are reliable. When you find a routine that you think will work for you, consult an expert, read reviews, and ask around to see if it has been tried.
3. Be Patient! When you do your research and find a routine that is healthy for your hair, then give it time to work. Results won’t show overnight.
4. Be realistic! Remember genetics are also a factor in hair type and growth rate; although there are oils known to aid in growth and strengthening hair they may not always be enough. Also different methods work for different people.
5. Last, but certainly not least. Do what is best for you always!

Well, those are the tips but we aren’t finished yet! We want to leave you with a healthy alternative that maintains hair health and may aid in hair growth. We would like to introduce you to the final product in our “All You Need” Hair Care Collection – Hair Growth Oil. Our USDA Certified Organic Hair Growth Oil is the premier Hair Growth Oil. Enriched with Sunflower Oil, it has “All You Need” for shinier, stronger, and healthier hair. And, of course, it’s made with certified organic and natural ingredients; this oil is not heavy and will not weigh your hair down.

The EE 411: The Magic Behind the Scenes – Hair Growth Oil

Although hair growth is a natural element and can be difficult to control, we’ve incorporated ingredients into our Hair Growth Oil that are known to aid hair growth and maintain the health of your hair.
